Hawkeye

This is my Brownie Hawkeye.  I remember always seeing it at my grandmother’s house when we would go to visit her.  It was the first camera that really caught my eye.  It’s simple shape hid what could only be described as magic to a 7 year old.  One day, for reasons I can’t remember, my “Mim” sent me home with it.  It’s something I will always cherish and it will always be my favorite camera.

For Valor

I was recently asked to shoot several war service medals that are in the possession of the Muscogee Nation Veteran’s Group. Among them, The Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and Distinguished Service Cross. All were by far the most beautifully crafted and most meaningful objects that I have ever had the opportunity to photograph. It was a true honor to be able to do this.  Please thank a veteran today.  Me and many others would not be able to live the lives we pursue if it wasn’t for the sacrifices they made.
